New Beginnings

But first, the beginning

When I was a young girl I dreamed of becoming a vet and  wanted to save all the animals I could.  When I grew up, I worked for a vet office as a receptionist.  Life doesn’t always work out the way you plan, but sometimes it can be even better.  I also dreamed as a child that I would have children of my own.  I never knew what the feeling was to actually be a mother and that is so much better than the dream.

Yes, I grew up in a fine little family.  Very loving parents and two sisters to play with and tell on.  We fought like many sisters do, but for me the fighting never ended.  I was different from them and I didn’t figure out why until I was 30.

I’ve been a free spirited 20 something, no kids, no rules, just a job and parties.  I’ve been a single mom with no assistances from a father.  Jumped into a housewife role with two toddlers.  Then somehow, after the divorce, I forgot who I was and I didn’t want to try to figure it out.  I starting falling.

So many people struggle with something that they feel makes them different.  Sometimes that difference is more than one issue.  I’d love to tell you that my story has a happy ending, but that’s not how all stories go.  As soon as we realize that life isn’t always about being happy, but about being balanced, the easier life can be.

I’m Kathleen Kelly.  Recovering alcoholic and other bad habbits; also I have boarderline personality disorder.  I’d like to share you my story.  I hope it inspires you and thanks for reading.
